Our son has definitely been a blessing, and a gift! Nobody can deny it.
Now, we have yet another blessing… a lovely, gorgeous, beautiful, splendid, her-mother-look-a-like girl!
This time round, Mami had an envelope, a “secret” envelope, which revealed what we would have. Despite the non-tradition of keeping the gender a secret, honestly, it did not matter. We were going to have a girl!
I had always wished that if we were to have a girl, that she would look like her mother. Although this is day #1, I am hopeful that is the case!
Our little bundle of joy is now here, a little partner in crime for our little boy angel, hopefully who can be head-strong, determined and independent, but that can also allow to be protected and cared for by her older brother.
Our little girl, also confirmed in the uterus around the same time of my wife’s birthday, born a few days after our wedding anniversary, is also a healthy 3.675kg, 51cm tall miracle (definitely does not take that from Mami – the height I mean). After hours at the hospital, from around 1am, at 11:28am 7th April, Martina was born via c section.
This experience today was no less intense and exciting than the first, although sadly this time, I will not be able to stay at the hospital with Mami. Nonetheless, I will be having a few boys nights with my little man, and it will be exciting to watch him meet his little sister, and to grow up together.
Thank you once Mami for this amazing and beautiful second gift!
